privacy policy

effective: July 1, 2026 · last updated: July 1, 2026

draft boilerplate — review before publishing. this policy is a starting template written to satisfy App Store and Google Play requirements. confirm each statement matches what the apps actually do, and have it reviewed by a lawyer before submitting for App Store or Google Play review.

this privacy policy describes how pongsixtyfour studios ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Pongsixtyfour Studios LLC of North Carolina, USA, handles information in connection with the figured series of apps — currently Crossums and Sequences (the "apps") — distributed on the Apple App Store and Google Play. apps outside the figured series are covered by their own policies.

1. summary

our apps are designed to work without collecting your personal data. neither app requires an account, runs ads, or includes third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. we do use a crash reporting service to help us find and fix bugs — see section 2.

2. information we collect

data you provide. if you email us for support, we receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond.

on-device data. puzzle progress and settings are stored on your device and, if you enable it, in your personal iCloud or Google account. we cannot access data stored in your personal cloud account.

automatically collected data. the apps do not collect usage analytics or device identifiers for tracking. if the app crashes or hits an error, we use Sentry to automatically send us a crash report — this can include the type of error, a stack trace, and technical details like your device model, OS version, and app version. this data is used only to diagnose and fix problems, not to identify you individually or track your activity.

3. how the app stores are involved

the apps are sold and delivered through the Apple App Store and Google Play. when you make a purchase, Apple or Google processes your payment and provides us with anonymized purchase records. their handling of your data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.

4. how we use information

we do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. sharing

we do not share personal information with third parties except: (a) service providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations — currently email hosting and Sentry for crash reporting; (b) when required by law; or (c) to protect our rights.[list any other real processors, e.g. RevenueCat for purchases]

6. data retention

support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to help you and to keep reasonable records, then deleted. on-device and cloud-synced data is removed when you delete the app or clear it in-app.

7. children

our apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. [adjust to your final App Store / Play age rating]

8. your rights

depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. to make a request, email us at the address below. we will respond as required by applicable law.

9. security

we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information under our control. no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. changes to this policy

we may update this policy from time to time. we will post the revised version here and update the "last updated" date above. material changes will be indicated clearly.
